The beveled edge bends light, which is essential to create reflections. The reflection will appear on the opposite side of the mirror. Reach around the other side and trace it.
- FIND THE LINE OF REFLECTION -- After you’ve created the reflection, move the Reflective GeoMirror until the reflection is positioned directly opposite of the original image. Trace a pencil where the beveled edge meets the paper. Locate the distance where both images perfectly reflect – the Line of Reflection!
- CLEARLY UNDERSTAND SYMMETRY -- Place the Reflective GeoMirror in the middle of a shape. When the reflection is perfectly aligned with the original shape, trace a line along the beveled edge. That’s the Line of Symmetry. Further observe symmetry with mirrors at either ends of this Mira-style tool.
